Adventure awaits at the new and expanded exhibits at Discovery Place Kids - Rockingham! KD+P was engaged with Discovery Place Kids - Rockingham to upgrade existing exhibits, design a climbing structure along with new science research stations for their 10 year anniversary. KD+P completed exhibit development for four science research stations: Nature, Astronomy, Weather and Underground. Nature explores features of the natural world where you can build your own bugs and practice the art of camouflage. Astronomy prepares you for an “out-of-this-world” adventure where you can explore the solar system and learn how satellites work. Weather takes you on a journey where you can explore how lightning works and how rain is created. Underground calls all young explorers to learn how to make a flower grow with water and nutrients while exploring creatures that live in the soil. Plus, explorers can excavate and move rocks in the Rockingham Quarry. The upgraded exhibits include Gizmotron, a new racetrack and new interactive kayak rowing experience.
