KD+P partnered, once again, with the Mississippi Children’s Museum team to create a health and nutrition gallery that helps visitors learn how food and exercise affect a child’s growth and development. The goal of this gallery is to show children that small changes now can make a big difference later. The new gallery features exhibits with active components as well as interactive experiences. The first exhibit, Kareem’s Dreamy Day, is designed to teach children about healthy living and healthy routines. For example, sleeping habits, nutrition, and bedtime routines. The second exhibit, Ride the Trails, is designed to teach children about exercise and hearth health. Children are encouraged to jump on the bicycles and pedal through local Jackson, Mississippi bike trails.
